Patient and public consultations

The Health Board has a dedicated Patient and Public  Engagement team. Further information on patient and public engagement can be found on our website.

The Health Board believes that the public and patients have an important voice that should be heard.  The Health Board includes the public and patients in its decision making wherever possible.

All formal public consultations will be advertised in the local press, with posters and information leaflets also issued to local premises such as Hospitals, GP and Dental surgeries, Libraries and Post Offices.  Consultations are usually for a period of at least twelve weeks and all comments received during the consultation period will be considered by the Health Board.

At the conclusion of a public consultation, a report on the outcome of the consultation and responses will be submitted to the Board, together with a recommendation on the required action arising from the consultation.

All current and previous consultations are available on our Consultation and Engagement section of our website.

Information on future consultations will be available on this website, in the meantime please contact the Patient and Public  Engagement Team if you require any assistance.

Siarad Iechyd/Talking Health is an involvement and engagement scheme being set up by the Health Board which gives local people an opportunity to have their say in how local health services are planned, developed and delivered. For more information and to download an application form please visit the Siarad Iechyd/Talking Health website.
