About Me

Independent Member - Community

My role is to help board leaders, senior managers and frontline teams to discover new ways of tackling complex organisational problems in sustainable, inclusive and human ways, primarily in the healthcare and third sectors. This means I have to draw on a wide range of expertise that I have, from executive coaching, team-based working to quality improvement methodologies. Through my consultancy and coaching practice, I work regularly with national and local organisations, as well as being a non-executive director.  With 20 years experience delivering and redesigning services in senior NHS leadership roles, I understand the realities of the work at both operational and strategic levels.

I am also a part time research student at Swansea University, exploring the relationship between psychological safety, learning and quality improvement. I deliver postgraduate teaching in quality improvement and patient safety.

I have a longstanding interest in citizenship, community development and co-production, particularly in the context of health and well-being. I work on a pro bono basis with community organisations and I'm a trustee with Tempo Time Credits.

My family and I live in Carmarthenshire, along with our three cats, five hens and a hive of bees.

Committee/Sub-Committee I am a member of:
