Independent Member - Community

I have significant experience in both health and social care with a background in operating theatres at clinical and managerial levels in south, west and mid Wales. 

I worked within the voluntary sector with Barnardos for 15 years at senior operational and strategic level with Children’s Services including safeguarding, preventative services and family interventions.
 
Qualifying as a registered general nurse in 1986, I began my nursing career in the NHS in Llanelli, and my last NHS post was at Bronglais.
 
I am proud first language Welsh speaker, from a farming background in Carmarthenshire. A passion of mine is the involvement of children and young people within services and ensuring their voices are heard.

I have a varied taste in music and enjoy going to live music gigs - from David Gray, Pet Shop Boys, Jack Savoretti, Take That to Pink!

My personal interests are Hereford cattle, reading, cookery and food, springer spaniels, art (especially welsh artists) then combine all of these into photography!
