The Community Dental Service (CDS) provides dental care for vulnerable adults and children in our three counties. This service is for people who may have difficulties in seeking and receiving dental treatment in a general dental practice.
The Community Dental Service (CDS) is a referral only service. You must be referred by general dentist practitioner or healthcare professional for example a GP or health visitor to use this service. We do this to make sure that patients receive the best treatment, from the most appropriately trained member of the team. We also make sure the treatment is in the best clinic to suit their needs.
If you do not meet the criteria for treatment by the CDS you can find out how to access dental treatment here (opens in new tab)
