GP out of hours

The GP out of hours service is available for patients with urgent medical needs that cannot wait until their own surgery is open. It is available between 6.30pm and 8.00am Monday to Friday, and 24 hours a day on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

If you are a resident in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion or Pembrokeshire you can dial 111 for free to access the GP out of hours service.

Please note that we are currently experiencing a shortage of GPs to cover some of our out of hours shifts. You can continue to access support as usual by calling 111 and you will be advised what to do.

You should only call 999 or visit the Accident and Emergency department at your local hospitals if you have a genuine medical emergency.

If you do have access to a computer, smartphone or tablet you can use InterpreterNow - seven days a week, between 8.00am and midnight by clicking this link to InterpreterNow (opens in a new tab)
