A technician will speak to patients daily, giving medicines, either on prescription or over the counter and providing information on potential side-effects. A technician can advise patients on their health, how to take their medicines and their lifestyle choice. This could be face-to-face or over the phone.
Accuracy checking technicians may also be responsible for the checking of supply of medicines at the pharmacy. They work in the dispensary and may supervise other pharmacy staff, such as dispensary and counter assistants.
