The Board and its committees shall conduct as much of its formal business in public as possible however there are circumstances where it would not be in the public interest to discuss a matter in public, e.g., business that relates to a confidential matter. In such cases the Chair (advised by the Director of Corporate Governance/Board Secretary where appropriate) will schedule these issues accordingly.
In accordance with the provisions of section 1 (2) and (3) of the Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960, the Board has resolved that representatives of the press and other members of the public are excluded from this meeting on the grounds that it would be prejudicial to the public interest due to the confidential nature of the business to be transacted.
