Dermatology

Dermatology clinics are being held at outpatient departments in Prince Philip and Withybush General Hospitals. The clinics being held are for suspected skin cancer, non suspected skin cancer, paediatric and inflammatory conditions. 

Virtual clinics are being held for acne and mild eczema patients, as well as follow up patients. Periodic follow up clinics for certain conditions are being seen at Glangwili General Hospital.

Patients with lesions are being seen in one stop shop clinics where treatment can be offered on the same day if appropriate. Patients with lesions are also being seen in Teledermoscopy clinics with the medical photography team in Cardigan Integrated Care Centre and South Pembrokeshire Hospital.

Minor procedures using local anaesthetic are being undertaken at Prince Philip and Withybush Hospitals. 

 

Future plans

Phased plans to increase capacity in the outpatients department.  

Ongoing reviews of the service are being undertaken on a regular basis. Virtual telephone clinics and face to face appointments will continue to be provided.
