How long will I have to wait for an assessment?

We cannot tell people how long they will have to wait or where they are on the waiting list. We will contact you as soon as an appointment is available.

Why? 

Waiting times are always changing. This is because new referrals are received, appointments become available, and the demand goes up or down. Because of this, we cannot say exactly when you will be offered an appointment.

While you are waiting 

• Keep your contact details up to date. 
• Tell us if you change address, telephone number or GP practice. 
• Continue to access support from your GP and other services involved in your care.  

If your wellbeing gets worse 

Please contact: 

• Your GP 
• NHS 111 Wales 
• Your local Mental Health Team 
• Emergency services if there is an immediate risk to your safety
