Was there fair representation from our communities on the technical land appraisal group?

Members of the public played a key role in the two technical appraisal workshops held to weight and score the evaluation criteria for the shortlisted sites. We took a balanced room approach, ensuring votes from public stakeholders were the majority part of the process.

We made effort prior to the workshops to ensure public representation across a range of characteristics and geographical areas. This included approaching residents who had submitted an expression of interest in being part of the process, along with writing to representative groups, including those identified by the Diversity and Inclusion Team to ensure representation of our diverse population from residents with protected characteristics.
