We are currently running a limited service across all four sites within the health board. This capacity is reduced to the social distancing regulations in order to continue safe practice.
All urgent referrals will continue to take priority and will be checked and clinically triaged on a case by case basis.
All routine referrals will be clinically triaged and added to the waiting list accordingly. At this stage priority will be given to urgent referrals.
All referrals will be offered virtually via telephone unless they are clinically prioritised for a face to face appointment where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be utilised as necessary.
Ongoing reviews of the service are being undertaken on a regular basis. Virtual telephone clinics and face to face appointments (where appropriate) will continue to be provided. A phased introduction of additional digital platforms in order to enable alternative options for outpatient appointments is being scoped. Digital services will help ensure that essential care can continue whilst creating more flexible services.
