Chaplaincy

The service we offer is confidential and non-judgemental and is available to everyone.

We support patients, staff and visitors and respect people of all religious and cultural beliefs and genders as well as those who have no faith by working to the aim of healing your well-being effectively, looking after you with dignity, dedication and attentiveness.

We can:

  • offer worship opportunities and prayers
  • provide a listening ear
  • offer counselling support
  • be a spiritual care resource
  • provide support.

Who can make a referral?

Anyone can make a referral. This includes all staff members, relatives and friends, or members of the patient’s faith community. Patients can also refer themselves. We will always check with the patient that he or she is happy to receive a visit.

The department is committed to support all pastoral, spiritual and religious needs and wish to support staff in providing the best care and invite you to share any concerns or wishes patients have so that we may be proactive in getting the desired outcome (if feasible and reasonable). Please in the first instance contact the senior chaplain (details provided).
