Children's services

We provide children and young people with safe, high quality care that meets medical standards expected in the NHS across Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.

Our specialist consultants, nurses and wider healthcare teams offer a wide range of diagnosis, treatment and support facilities for you and your child at both hospital and community settings. Your child’s treatment, safety and comfort are of great importance to us and we will do everything we can to make their visit or stay as pleasant as possible.

If your child is seriously unwell or seriously injured please call 999 or visit your nearest Emergency Department with paediatric specialists on site (Currently Glangwili and Bronglais Hospitals in the Hywel Dda area)

For illnesses that are not so serious, please use the NHS Wales - symptom checker (opens in new tab), make an appointment with your GP or call NHS Direct Wales 111 if you are unsure about what to do. Children with minor injuries (such as broken bones, bites, cuts or minor burns) can be seen at minor injury units or in some community pharmacies.
