How much is this likely to cost and can the health board fund it?

Welsh Government has approved £12.8 million funding to address the critical and high-risk planks over a period of two financial years.

Work has come to an end on Ward 9 which has now re-opened with patients being re-introduced. Ward 12 is on track to be re-opened on November 3 and is expected to be operational by November 10.

Remaining wards are expected to be completed by the end of this financial year (April 2024). Remedial work to ground floor locations will continue into the next financial year.

Medium and low risk planks will continue to be regularly surveyed and this may lead to further remedial work in the future.
