Director of Finance

I am the Director of Finance for Hywel Dda University Health Board, with responsibility for digital and performance.

I come from Pontsian, near Llandysul; returning home to work for Hywel Dda University Health Board after gaining experience in a number of different sectors and settings across the UK. As someone who is privileged to work where I was raised as a child, I am passionate about the difference we should make to our local communities by focusing on the outcomes that matter to those we serve.

In my early career, I worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in London, Bristol and Cardiff. Initially, my clients were within the banking sector before I moved on to specialise on NHS, local authority and third sector clients. I worked for the NHS in England before moving back to Wales.

I am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and served on their Governing Council. I have also been a trustee of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and served as the chair for their Wales branch. I am currently a Trustee of the Centre for Local Economic Strategies and am privileged to hold an honorary professorship at Aberystwyth University.
