Independent Member - Legal

I am a solicitor, at a Cardiff-based practice, and have acted for vulnerable people, trade unions, charities, and campaigning groups for many years – being a passionate advocate for the rights of the vulnerable, equality and justice. My work has included participation in several high-profile legal cases, including in the areas of health provision and education. I have also represented individuals in a number of large public inquires and inquests.

In addition to my role as the Independent Member, Legal, at Hywel Dda University Health Board I also hold roles on a few external committees. These include being a member of the Law Society Human Rights committee, deputy chair of the Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales, and a member of the panel of Chairs of the Valuation Tribunal.

In my spare time, I enjoy following several sports and walking in the Welsh countryside with my wife, trying to avoid getting lost.
