Important – accessing oncology services during the COVID-19 pandemic

It is critically important that people continue to access cancer services during the pandemic.  This includes anyone who has noticed a new possible symptom of cancer (see links at the bottom of this page for more information), as well as existing patients undergoing treatment or diagnostics.

Oncology refers to the non-surgical treatment of cancer. We provide oncology services at each of the four district general hospitals within our health board region.

This includes a treatment day unit at each site, delivering treatments such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and also oncology outpatients, where you will see a consultant oncologist, or other oncology cancer professional such as a clinical nurse specialist, or cancer pharmacist.

Below is a useful link to the Cancer Research UK information on different types of cancer treatment.
