IAWN - Information, awareness and well-being now

The Integrated Psychological Therapies Service (IPTS), Local Primary Mental Health Support Service (LPMHSS) and Wellbeing Liaison Service cover Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. It is a dedicated service for adults aged 18 years and over who need support with mental health challenges.  

We aim to provide a range of support depending on need along with easily accessible online resources and information on mental health issues to enable you to self-help and know where to access further support should you need it.

Urgent help

Mental health and well-being support line for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Support is available for all ages by telephoning 111 and selecting option 2 where they will be put through to a mental health practitioner.

Our Psychological Therapies and Local Primary Mental Health Support Services offer a routine service and does not deal with urgent or emergency mental health matters. 

For urgent help that is not an emergency you should contact your GP, in the first instance, who can refer you to the most appropriate mental health services. If outside GP hours you should present at the out of hours GP at accident and emergency (A&E).​

If you live in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion or Pembrokeshire, you can dial 111 to access your GP out of hours service and NHS Direct by dialling 111 and choosing option 2.
