School Nursing Immunisations

Spring Term

• HPV vaccine (opens in a new tab) to Year 8 (catch-up for older years) - January/February.
• Tetanus, diphtheria and polio (Td/IPV)(3 in 1 teenage booster) (opens in a new tab) & MenACWY vaccine (opens in a new tab) to Year 9 (catch-up for older years) - March/April.
• MMR vaccines (opens in a new tab) catch-up alongside other teenage programmes.

Summer Term

• Continuing to offer catch-ups

Autumn Term

• Our routine school flu vaccination programme (opens in a new tab) for primary and secondary school children (Reception to Year 11) started in September 2026.
• Please complete our online form (opens in a new tab) even if you do not want your child to receive the vaccine.

• After returning the form, there is no need to contact the school nurse unless any of the following apply:

  • your child receives the flu vaccine elsewhere

  • there are any changes to your child’s health

  • your child’s asthma medication is increased

  • your child is prescribed oral steroids

  • your child develops wheezing symptoms

  • If they do, please call 0300 430 7777 before 12.00pm on the working day prior to the vaccination session.
