This page outlines some general strategies your child can try if they are experiencing difficulties/symptoms as a result of hypermobile joints.
Hypermobile joints are common in the general population and are extremely common in children, having been reported in 25% to 50% of those younger than 10 years of age. Hypermobility is regarded as a “normal variant” and difficulties occur mainly when the body has become weak and deconditioned. Many individuals with hypermobile joints do not experience any significant difficulties.
