Relocating to the area

Reimbursement of relocation expenses

Hywel Dda University Health Board’s policy for the reimbursement of relocation expenses for new staff and eligible recruits is in place to ease the process of moving to a new area.  It also clarifies what financial assistance is available to all prospective eligible employees and in which circumstances.

View the health board relocation expenses policy here (opens in new tab).

Accommodation

Singe occupancy short term accommodation may be available on site for health care professionals relocating to the area.  Eligible recruits can request accommodation support through the recruitment team (opens in new tab).

Finding somewhere to rent

Once you have your job offer and visa, you can start looking for somewhere to rent.  You can search online for property search websites - such local estate agents in the area you will be living. You will then be able to view some properties.

To rent, you will need:

  • Deposit - usually the cost of one to three months' rent
  • Other administration fees - a breakdown of all fees should be clearly visible to you on the agent's website
  • Proof of identity, immigration status and employment status
