Buddy scheme

Moving to a new country and starting a new role can be an exciting adventure, but you may need some help as you settle into your new role. If you’re joining Hywel Dda from overseas we can connect you with a buddy – an existing member of staff who will support you to find your way and connect with your new colleagues. ENFYS LGBTQ+ staff network

Enfys (rainbow) is the health board’s vibrant LGBTQ+ staff and allies community that offers support, advice, and networking opportunities. To join simply contact the group at: Enfys.lgbt@wales.nhs.uk 

Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic network  

Our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic staff and allies network is a multi-cultural support network that helps to promote inclusion and cultural awareness and celebrates our cultural differences.

Armed Forces network 

A support network for Veterans, Reserves, Cadet Adult Volunteers and their family members who are in employment in Hywel Dda. The network is a safe space where staff can exchange information about support services that are available for them, experience camaraderie, raise concerns in employment, hear their views on activities that affect them, and welcome new members of the community in the health board.

Carers network

The Carers network supports our staff who are looking after a family member or a friend in their personal lives. If you would like to join the Carers network, please contact: Inclusion.hdd@wales.nhs.uk

Menopause café

The Menopause Café is an informal network for staff affected by the menopause – an opportunity for colleagues to chat and support each other.
