CCTV (closed circuit television) will be used to record events, where recording is available, thereby protecting our assets, preventing and deterring crime, securing the successful prosecution of offenders, reducing the fear of crime whilst enhancing patient, staff and visitor safety. At all times our staff will ensure compliance to relevant legislation.
We have over 300 CCTV cameras across all four acute sites. Our CCTV Policy sets out the appropriate actions and procedures to be followed to comply with the Data Protection Act in respect of the use of CCTV surveillance systems managed by us.
