Independent Member - Finance Specialist

I am currently a  non executive director of a school and a non executive director of a church led Housing Association. In both organisations I take the lead for Finance, chairing the Finance committee. I have over 10 years Finance Director experience in the NHS in England and 20 years senior finance experience. I worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP in Birmingham before joining the NHS. I am CPFA qualified with significant post qualification experience in Public Sector Finance, procurement, service improvement and cost improvement programmes.

I have two children at University and my wife also works at the University of Birmingham. I support and mentor young people. I am a trustee of a charity which supports the welfare and education of children in Harare, Zimbabwe.
