This week, people in priority group 3 (aged 75 to 79) will start to attend one of our six vaccination centres to receive their first dose of the vaccine.
We understand that for some people this will mean extra travel or attending somewhere unfamiliar when you may have not visited many public places since the start of the pandemic.
Please be assured our mass vaccination centres provide a safe environment, space to maintain social distancing while allowing more people to be vaccinated as efficiently and as quickly as possible.
These mass vaccination centres are essential to the success of the vaccination programme. If you are invited to receive your vaccine at a mass vaccination centre, it is because you are in a priority group and at greater risk of complications if you catch COVID-19, therefore it is vital that you make every effort to attend.
Hywel Dda UHB will make an announcement early next week to inform people in priority group 4 (aged 70 to 74 years and people who are clinically extremely vulnerable) how and when they will be invited to receive the vaccine.
