Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a 6-week prescriptive intervention for people living with a long-term lung disease. The course provides education and exercise to help you to self-manage your lung condition.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is available for patients who have been diagnosed with:

  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
  • Chronic Asthma
  • Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis
  • Pre/Post Surgery

  • Anyone waiting for a lung transplant

By asking your GP, practice nurse, respiratory nurse, consultant, or health professional to send us a referral on your behalf. You must be sure they know you and that you have a confirmed diagnosis of a lung disease.

You will be assessed by a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Respiratory nurses and offered a patient centred approach to enable you to self-manage your health condition.

Once you have been referred and assessed by our team you will be asked to attend one of our courses. Pulmonary Rehabilitation is delivered in GP cluster networks across Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion in local community centres and leisure centres.
