Hywel Dda University Health Board has been recognised for supporting and promoting the health and well-being of its staff through the Healthy Working Wales programme (opens in new tab).
The programme’s award scheme is recognised as the national quality mark for health and well-being in the workplace. This accreditation demonstrates that the health board has successfully maintained its existing Corporate Health Standard award level, through its continuous commitment to healthy working practices, initiatives, and support.
Lisa Gostling, Director of Workforce and Organisational Development said: “I am delighted to have our work on staff health and well-being nationally recognised. This award shows the hard work and dedication our staff put in daily to try to make positive differences to the people we serve and the colleagues we work alongside.”
Throughout the pandemic, the health board’s Workforce and Organisational Development teams worked tirelessly to ensure that staff have access to a wide range of support. The creation of a network of Well-being Champions has been instrumental in ensuring that colleagues know how and where to access support. The Staff Psychological Well-being Service has also developed a wealth of resources to provide staff with the support they need.
The newly formed Culture and Workforce Experience team have also recently introduced a suite of programmes available to support the financial well-being and education for all its staff.
