What's happening?

In September 2023, the partners at Cross Hands and Tumble Medical Partnership told the health board they would be ending their General Medical Services contract (which enables them to provide GP services to registered patients) on 31 March 2024.

The health board then engaged with patients and local stakeholders to learn more about what they would like to happen next, and heard most people wanted to keep the practice open, possibly with new GPs.

The health board then undertook an open tender process to find another provider for these services.

Amman Tawe Partnership have been awarded the contract by the health board and will be taking over the running of the surgery from 1 April 2024.
