21 November 2024
This Carer’s Rights Day [21 November 2024], several local healthcare services are congratulated in successfully achieving their Investors in Carers (IiC) awards.
The Investors in Carers scheme is designed to help health, social care, third sector and other organisations focus on, and improve, their carer awareness and the help and support they give to carers.
The teams who received their IiC awards recently are from across a range of services provided by Hywel Dda University Health Board, as follows:
Eleanor Marks, the health board’s Vice Chair and Carers’ Champion said: “Being awarded these Investors in Carers awards is a clear demonstration of the teams’ commitment to recognising and supporting the rights of unpaid carers. As the carers’ champion in the health board, I am particularly proud of this achievement and look forward to many more services gaining this key accreditation.”
Llinos Janes-Jones, a carer lead for Ceredigion Local Primary Mental Health Support Service added: “As a team, we truly believe in the importance of recognising and ensuring unpaid carers are supported. We are so pleased to have this recognised with this award and will continue in our efforts moving forwards.”
The IiC scheme is delivered by the health board and supported by local authority and third sector partners across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.
