Hywel Dda University Health Board, in collaboration with Ceredigion Public Services Board (opens in a new tab) and Ceredigion County Council (opens in a new tab), is excited to announce the Lampeter Health and Wellbeing Show 2025.

This free event will take place on Wednesday 26th February, from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the Lampeter Wellbeing Centre, formerly known as Lampeter Leisure Centre, located at Peterwell Terrace, Lampeter, SA48 7BX.

The Lampeter Health and Wellbeing Show aims to provide valuable advice and information to the community, promoting health and wellbeing through a variety of engaging activities and informative stands.

Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with over twenty stands featuring services and teams from Hywel Dda University Health Board, Ceredigion County Council, Dyfed Powys Police, and third sector organisations including but not limited to Camfan Mental Health Team, Choices, Llais Wales (opens in new tab), Papyrus, and Ceredigion Association of Voluntary Organisations (CAVO).

There’ll be people to talk to about wellbeing in general, and specifically about quitting smoking, healthy eating, pharmacy services, mental health, suicide prevention, substance misuse, etc. Plus there’ll be opportunities for blood pressure, pulse checks and advice related to healthy ageing and falls prevention.

Throughout the day there will be a variety of inclusive activities from inflatable darts and football to mindful colouring, quizzes and word searches.

People will also be able to learn about inclusive spaces, gain career tips and get advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau Ceredigion.

Dr. Ardiana Gjini, Executive Director of Public Health for Hywel Dda University Health Board, commented, "The Lampeter Health and Wellbeing Show is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, learn, and engage with various health and wellbeing services. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this event to gain valuable advice and support for their health and wellbeing.  I very much hope to see as many of you there and talk with you about the ways that we can improve our health and wellbeing."

Councillor Alun Williams, Ceredigion Council Cabinet Member for Through Age and Wellbeing commented “Ceredigion County Council is delighted to work alongside Hywel Dda University Health Board and the Ceredigion Public Services Board to support this important health and wellbeing show in the middle of the county. By working together, using events like this as an example, we can ensure our local communities have access to the support and resources they need to lead healthier, happier lives’
