We want to hear from as many people as possible, including patients, families, carers, staff and local communities. You can tell us whether you support the preferred option and why, and share your views on previous alternative options. This is a chance for you to help us understand any impacts the proposals may have on you, your community, the Welsh language or equality.
What’s being proposed
The preferred option includes:
You can also share your views on the other options that have been considered.
Why this matters
Currently stroke care across Hywel Dda does not consistently meet national standards. Services are spread across four hospitals and specialist stroke care is not available seven days a week in all locations. This can affect recovery and outcomes for patients.
Following earlier engagement in 2025, further work has been carried out to test a preferred option. This has now been developed, drawing on ideas previously put forward as part of the earlier consultation.
All information about the proposal, and the consultation questionnaire is available on our consultation webpages (opens in new tab). Materials are provided in a range of formats and languages to make sure everyone can take part.
Share your views by 26 July and help shape the future of stroke care in our area.
