Hywel Dda University Health Board is celebrating after being named as a finalist at the NHS Wales Awards 2026.
Hosted by NHS Wales Performance and Improvement, the Awards celebrate teams who are driving improvements and transforming services across Wales.
Following a record-breaking number of submissions, 39 projects have been shortlisted across 13 award categories, showcasing innovation, improvement and collaboration from teams across Wales.

NHS Wales Team Culture Award
NHS Wales Timely Care Award
NHS Wales Whole Systems Award
Lisa Gostling, Deputy CEO and Director of Workforce and Organisational Development said “It is wonderful to see four Hywel Dda projects shortlisted for this year’s NHS Wales Awards. Our health and care community in west Wales continues to strive to improve healthcare practices and patient care. Good luck to all our finalists.”

For the first time, colleagues across NHS Wales can explore the shortlisted projects and vote for the initiatives they believe have delivered the greatest impact for patients, services and staff.
Each finalist has created a project poster showcasing their improvement journey, achievements and outcomes.

The results of the peer vote will be announced during the NHS Wales Awards event and online on Thursday 12 November.
